Arrival
The arrival weekend into Washington, D.C. is scheduled for August 16, 2008. The Push America Arrival Weekend is the culmination of a summer of building hope. Whether you are a team member, parent, friend or just a by-stander, you can’t help but get caught up in the emotion that surrounds this special day. This is a weekend of celebrating abilities, accomplishments, and simply reflecting on a summer of service.

Hotels
The host hotel for Push America’s Arrival Events will be the Hyatt Regency on Capitol Hill. Push America has arranged for a room block provide family and friends of the Journey of Hope 2008 team with a discounted rate of $129 per night for one to two people and $154 per night for three to four people.

To make hotel reservations for Push America’s arrival weekend, please contact the Hyatt Regency Washington, D.C. on Capitol Hill at (800) 233 1234 and notify them that you are with Push America’s group. You may also make your arrangements on line by clicking HERE. To ensure that you receive the group rate, please make your reservations by July 16, 2008.

** Push America will provide rooms at the Hyatt Regency and make arrangements for 2008 team members for the evening of August 16, 2008.

Schedule of Events
We hope that you will join us in our celebration. Below is information regarding our arrival weekend events. The cost is $50 per person which covers both receptions. Please contact Josh Sheffler, with questions.

Parent’s Reception
The Parent’s Reception will be held at the Hyatt Regency on Capitol Hill on Friday, August 15 at 7:00 p.m. and will end at 8:30 p.m. This is an opportunity for parents, family and friends to get to know each other! We will also be covering the details of Saturday’s events. Dress is business causal and light hors d'oeuvres will be served.

The Journey of Hope Arrival
The Journey of Hope arrival event will take place on the West Front Lawn of the United States Capitol Building on Saturday, August 16 at 11:00 a.m. The teams will be arriving to over 800 family, friends and brothers of Pi Kappa Phi to celebrate the 21st year of members of Pi Kappa Phi serving people with disabilities all across the country. Please be sure to be at the Capitol Building by 10:30 a.m. as the teams will be arriving at 11:00 a.m. sharp! Please be sure to wear shorts, bring water and plenty of sunscreen!

Journey of Hope Awards Reception
The Hyatt Regency on Capitol Hill will be the host of our 21st Annual Awards Reception which will be held on Saturday, August 16. A Cocktail Reception will begin at 6:30 p.m. followed by the Awards Reception at 7:30 p.m. We are expecting over 400 family, friends and Pi Kappa Phis. Dress for this event is business casual.
