How to set up a Volunteer Relationship
There are many ways to find an organization to partner with in your community. You have to be willing to do a little research and make a few phone calls. It will be more than worth your time when you have that first chapter volunteer experience. The question for many chapters is, "Where do we find possible organizations to volunteer?"

Check out the following:
Phone Book Searches- Under Social Service Organizations, Human Service Organizations, Non Profit Organizations, and Associations.
Here’s what to look for- Here are a few examples. Arc of Mecklenburg County, Special Olympics, United Cerebral Palsy or UCP, North Carolina State School (School for Deaf and Blind)
Networking- talk to alumni, parents, faculty at school and ask them if they might know of an organization to work with.
Chamber of Commerce- The Chamber can be of great use. Give them a call and get a list of area nonprofit organizations.
Campus Organizations- Office of Volunteerism, Office of Disability Services, Best Buddies, Natural Ties, Rise School

If you are still experiencing trouble finding a volunteer relationship or setting one up call Push America's Director of Chapter Services at 704-504-2400 ext. 117.
