Phonathon 2011 Update: 400 to $40,000

Through dedicated supporters of Push America, we were able to raise $33,000 in pledges over the six days of our fourth annual Phonathon! Not only did we have Push America and Fraternity staff making phone calls, alumni and supporters within the Greater Charlotte area came out and participated in making calls to raise funds for people with disabilities. Chapter members from Winthrop and Presbyterian College supported the fourth annual Phonathon and had a chance to meet the Push America staff, all while connecting with past donors and representing their chapter at the national level.

The Phonathon was wonderfully supported by the local community in the form of food donations, which kept the callers morale up. Stoney’s Pizza donated ten pizzas over the course of two days, T.G.I. Friday’s donated four platters over the course of two days, Little Caesar’s donated ten free Hot ‘n Readys, Salsa’s donated 20 beef/chicken enchiladas dinners, Chick-fil-A donated 15 box dinners, Five Guys Burgers donated 2 free burgers, McAlister’s donated 6 gallons of tea over the course of two days, and Firehouse Subs donated ten subs! We definitely can’t thank these sponsors enough, and it would mean a lot if Push America’s supporters showed their thanks to these fine businesses!

As you can see, our bellies may be full, but we’re still a little short of our goal of $40,000! In order for us to reach our goal, we are counting on your generous support! We need you now more than ever! Will you please help us reach our goal while raising awareness for people with disabilities?
