Started in 2003 as a construction-based summer event in the image of Give-A-Push Weekends and Push Camps, Build America has grown to become a signature event for Push America. Embedded into the heart of Build America are the ideals that have made Push America flourish for over 30 years; ability, teamwork, empathy, and integrity. No program embodies the core values of Push America more than Build America. While you will leave tangible objects at each camp, the one thing that cannot be measured is the love that the campers will feel for you and the feeling of elation from knowing that you made a difference.

On Build America you are given the opportunity to interact with people with disabilities and in doing so you will make their summer camp experience that much more special. You will construct accessible amenities that will be used for years to come and provide them with a summer of fun and memories. Along the way you will realize that the man you were before the summer is not the man you see in the mirror at the end. Build America will make you grow as an individual, while having the most amazing summer of your life in the process.
